Office of Placement & Corporate Liaison
A dedicated resource for the student’s career development & industry readiness in order to aid in achieving their desired career ambitions. Despite the hypercompetitive environment in the job market, students one-on-one counselling were conducted – not only in-house by the team of Placements and Corporate Liaison but also by corporate professionals. With this initiative, we have benefitted 900+ graduates and current students in getting decent work opportunities with the average salary range of PKR 30,000 to 70,000 PKR.
Iqra University Annual Job & Startup Expo
Along with the career guidance, the key role of Department of Placements and Corporate Liaison, is to organise Annual Startup and Job Fair, following the framework of Industry – Academia Linkage Programme, since 2013, the event has become a flagship initiative of the University that garnered the attention of 1000s of students and 400+ companies across Pakistan. The 2021 Startup & Job Fair was scheduled virtually because of the pandemic and strict health regulations by the government of Pakistan.
Job Readiness & Mentoring Scheme
The emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution and COVID-19, the world of work has seen some exponential CHANGE, which has posed new challenges and opportunities for the future. Hence its important for the graduates to be trained & ready for working in the New Normal, keeping this in mind we have initiated a dedicated Job Readiness Training and 1:1 or Group Mentoring Scheme with Industrial Veterans and Market Leaders for students to adapt challenges and shape their own future.
Entrepreneurship for Decent Work & Economic Growth
Along with the recruitment drives and mentoring, we have a strong focus on building a fraternity of Young Entrepreneurs in Pakistan who work towards the Country’s income generation and economic stability. Our dedicated Entrepreneurship stream of study offers Bachelors, Masters, Research and Associate Degrees, upon completion of which students are offered free office space, participation in numerous startup competitions and initial funding to develop their own startups. So far Iqra University has incubated & graduated 80+ MVPs and Startup.
